Social and Emotional Development

    Students will be provided with ample opportunities to learn and practice social and emotional skills in the classroom and on the playground through circle time activities, dramatic and structured play, mealtimes, and center time activities. These skills include trusting and taking direction from teachers, following classroom rules and routines, expressing emotions verbally, socializing with others, recognizing feelings of others, integrating Christian values into class activities, participating in prayers, respecting the property of others, adjusting to new situations and activities, displaying an age appropriate attention span, sharing with others, playing cooperatively, displaying confidence in abilities and strengthening independence.
