Grade 6

6th Grade Social Studies

While students have an understanding on this side of the globe, our sixth grade students will be traveling to the Eastern Hemisphere (get your passports ready)! We will be looking into the culture, government, and economy of the Ancient Civilizations; including Rome, Egypt, Greece, Mid-Eastern Europe, China, and many more.

We will start off by discussing the emergence of humans using their environment to establish permanent settlements during The Neolithic Revolution. An emphasis will be placed upon early river civilizations, especially in India and the Middle East, their early way of life, religions and innovations. We will touch upon the founding’s of Judaism, Islam, and Christianity.
