Mission Statement

It is my belief that every child has the right to a caring, nurturing, and safe learning environment where they can feel secure in their abilities to grow intellectually , as well as, socially.  The role of an educator is to not only help children academically, but to build a child's self-esteem and confidence to help them achieve their goals by focusing on their strengths.

It is also my belief that students succeed by providing them with a strong support system in the school as well as home. My role is to encourage an open line of communication with each student's parents.  Having a parent connection is a substantial benefit of a student's success in school.

As an educator, I hope to provide a positive classroom environment where children find a love of learning and look forward to coming to every day.  It is also my greatest wish to provide my students with the tools they need to want to continue to strive to be the best they can be throughout their lives, not only academically, but also as tolerant, caring, and respectful individuals, who will also one day have an effect on a life of a child.  As Forest Witcraft wrote, "100 years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove, but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child."
